03/How it works

The question isn't “can you build it?” It's “can you take its customers?”

1

Start from real money

Revenue comes straight from each startup's Stripe or payment provider, verified by TrustMRR. No screenshots, no self-reported MRR.

2

Dig past the website

Claude Opus 5.5 runs a dozen searches on what actually protects it: the founder's audience, community, funding, platform approvals, reviews and rivals.

3

Score it, and show the gap

Everything can be copied. The score is how long and how hard it would be to take its customers, plus where a challenger gets in.

04/Your turn

Does your startup have a moat?

Paste your website. In about a minute you get a score, the moats you have, and where a clone would come for you.

05/Questions

Fair questions.

Where do the numbers come from?+

TrustMRR. Founders connect their Stripe (or another payment provider) and TrustMRR reads revenue straight from it. We never edit those numbers.

Who decides the verdict?+

Claude Opus 5.5, thinking hard, with a dozen web searches per startup. Most moats aren't on the website: a founder's following, a community, funding, platform approvals. It scores them against a fixed rubric and lists its sources, so you can check its work.

Why is my startup moatless?+

Because a good clone could take your customers without hitting anything it can't build or buy quickly. That's common and it's fixable. The report shows which moats are closest for you to build.

What does the score mean?+

0 to 24: moatless, a clone takes customers in weeks. 25 to 54: a shallow moat a determined newcomer gets through in months. 55 and up: a real moat, years of work or one most challengers never cross.

Can I get my startup re-checked?+

Yes. Moats change as you grow, and so do AI tools. Check it again any time from its page.
