Does PROSP have a moat?

No.

“Prosp is a voice-note twist on a LinkedIn bot that ships in 2 weeks. HeyReach, Waalaxy and dozens more already sell it, and LinkedIn bans all of them.”

01/The verdict

A cloud tool that automates LinkedIn connection requests, AI-written DMs and AI voice notes in the sender's own voice. Agencies and sales teams pay $29 to $79 per seat each month.

Prosp earns real money: $128k MRR across 1,108 subscriptions in about 15 months, partly helped by an AppSumo launch. Very little protects those customers. Like every rival, it automates LinkedIn without official API access, using browser sessions and residential proxies. Voice cloning comes from off-the-shelf APIs, and the founder's audience is small (about 3.2k on X and 7k on LinkedIn). The owner listed it for sale at about $1M and appears to have moved on to a new venture, which suggests even the owner doesn't see it as hard to defend.

02/3 moats

~4 mo to cross

Prosp runs a 30% lifetime recurring affiliate program and a comparison-post blog. It also has AppSumo reviewers and lifetime-deal buyers, plus Capterra and SourceForge listings with a handful of 5-star reviews. Its domain rating is only 35.

To cross it: Offer a richer affiliate cut, do an AppSumo launch and write comparison SEO posts for 'HeyReach alternative' and 'Prosp alternative'.

~1 mo to cross

Customers keep running campaigns, a cloned voice, lead lists and a unified inbox history in Prosp. All of these can be exported or recreated in an afternoon.

To cross it: Build a one-click importer for CSV lead lists and campaign sequences, and re-record the voice sample during onboarding.

~1 mo to cross

Every account gets a dedicated residential proxy, plus pacing logic to avoid LinkedIn restrictions. Rivals like HeyReach and Expandi already sell the same setup.

To cross it: Resell a residential proxy provider and copy the well-known daily action limits.

03/The gap

Easy to copy

  • AI-personalized connection notes and DMs are just an LLM prompt over scraped profile data
  • Voice notes in the user's voice come from commodity voice-cloning APIs like ElevenLabs
  • Lead finding, a unified inbox and per-seat pricing from $29 are standard in the category
  • The tool has no official LinkedIn API approval to protect, because the whole category runs against LinkedIn's terms

How you'd go after it

  • Go after agencies with unlimited sender accounts at a flat price, the same way HeyReach grew to about $16M ARR
  • Launch a lifetime deal on AppSumo and pay affiliates 40%, since Prosp's own growth leaned on these channels
  • Bundle LinkedIn with email and calls in one sequencer (lemlist or La Growth Machine style), so buyers drop a LinkedIn-only tool
  • Win on account safety: offer guaranteed ban replacement or warm-up, and publish restriction rates. Ban fear is buyers' top objection

04/Build against it?

Only with an edge

Demand is clearly there, with HeyReach at about $16M ARR and Prosp at $1.5M ARR run rate, but the market is packed with clones, and LinkedIn can cut off every player overnight. Only enter if you already have an agency or outbound audience to sell to, or a clearly safer way to send.
