Does Welya, Inc. have a moat?

Kinda.

31/100 · Shallow moat

“With LiveKit or Mux, the webinar room is a month's build. Marvin's 5 years running launches for Yomi Denzel and Oussama Ammar are not.”

01/The verdict

A French-language live webinar platform built to sell, with chat gamification, attendee scoring, live offer A/B tests and follow-up automation. Infopreneurs, coaches and the agencies that run their launches pay €79 to €370 a month.

The software is a webinar room plus engagement features and analytics. A builder using a streaming API like LiveKit or Mux could match it in about a month, and buyers run one webinar at a time, so leaving is cheap. What protects Welya is distribution. It grew out of Skors, Marvin Hannachi's webinar agency (reported at about €70k a month), which ran launches for top French infopreneurs. Welya also has a crowd of French affiliate review sites ranking for 'avis Welya'. Both are real advantages, but a challenger with the right network could get past them in months.

02/3 moats

~9 mo to cross

Welya was spun out of the Skors agency. Skors reportedly ran 500+ webinars in 50+ niches for names like Yomi Denzel, Oussama Ammar, Mohamed Boclet and Eric Larcheveque. Agency owners who manage launches, some of them investors, push the tool to every client they serve. Revenue grew from $2k in March 2026 to $26.8k in September 2026, and Marvin has only 19 X followers, so the growth is coming from this network.

To cross it: Win over the 20 to 50 launch managers and agencies running French infopreneur webinars, usually by paying them generous affiliate or revenue-share deals.

~4 mo to cross

An affiliate program has filled French search results for 'avis Welya' with review sites and promo codes (welya-avis.fr, avis-welya.fr, pimptonseo, inforeole, digitalbrainer). It also has 33 Trustpilot reviews averaging 4.7. Its domain rating of 20 is still low.

To cross it: Launch a 30 to 40% recurring affiliate program, recruit the same French SEO affiliates, and publish 'vs Welya' comparison pages.

~12 mo to cross

Founders say they have years of conversion and show-up data from Skors-run webinars. They use it for lead scoring and for tuning playbooks that track 40+ data points. This is likely useful but unproven as a product edge.

To cross it: Gather your own data by running managed launches for a few large creators for about a year.

03/The gap

Easy to copy

  • Chat gamification, polls, reactions and automatic attendee status levels
  • Lead scoring and replay or follow-up automation
  • Live streaming for up to 5,000 viewers, which a streaming API now handles
  • Live A/B testing of the offer and a basic analytics dashboard

How you'd go after it

  • Target the English-speaking 'webinar that sells' market, where Welya is absent and WebinarJam's UX is dated
  • Bundle the webinar room into an all-in-one creator stack (LMS, funnels, payments) the way LearnyBox and Systeme.io do, so it costs buyers nothing extra
  • Undercut Welya at €29 to €49 a month for small coaches, or charge per webinar for creators who launch only a few times a year
  • Partner with a rival French launch agency and pay its launch managers a revenue share to move their clients across

04/Build against it?

Only with an edge

Only go in if you already have a launch-agency network or an infopreneur audience. The product itself is easy to copy, but the French sales-webinar niche is small and well served by Welya, LearnyBox, Livestorm and WebinarJam. Without a ready channel, a clone ships to nobody.
