01/The verdict

Ad-free signup sheets for volunteers, potlucks and school or church events. Organizers pay a $10/mo Pro plan or a $12 weekly pass.

Signupkit makes signup sheets with slots, themes, reminders and optional ticket sales. Any builder can recreate that in days, and Google Forms covers most of it for free. Its one real asset is an early SEO engine: domain rating 27 and dozens of template, comparison and SignUpGenius-alternative pages, driving $593 MRR from 58 subscriptions. Rivals like Grasshopper Signup and MySignMeUp already run the same playbook, so this is a thin lead.

02/1 moat

~4 mo to cross

Signupkit.co has a domain rating of 27. It ranks with pages like potluck and volunteer sheet templates, 'best signup sheet apps' and 'SignUpGenius alternatives compared'. SEO and its blog are its only listed marketing channels.

To cross it: Publish the same template and comparison pages on a fresh domain and build links for a few months. Grasshopper Signup and MySignMeUp already do this.

03/The gap

Easy to copy

  • Slot-based signup sheets with themes, unlimited slots and no participant login
  • Free and paid tickets on the same sheet through Stripe
  • Printable PDF and Word templates, plus the 'no ads' pitch every SignUpGenius alternative uses
  • A $10/mo Pro plan that is easy to undercut

How you'd go after it

  • Go vertical: a PTA, church or youth-sports signup tool with rosters, recurring shifts and school-district features that general sheets lack
  • Price it free with payment fees as the only revenue, undercutting the $10/mo and $12 weekly pass
  • Target long-tail SEO queries Signupkit hasn't covered yet (seasonal events, specific sports, conference slots) and out-publish it
  • Sell to districts or church networks so whole groups adopt it top-down, not one organizer at a time

04/Build against it?

Stay away

SignUpGenius has over 150 million users, and a crowd of ad-free clones fights over the same 'alternative' keywords. Only go in with a vertical niche you already have a channel into, such as PTAs or churches.
