01/The verdict

A $5 to $10 a month digital catalog builder for small businesses like restaurants, shops and wholesalers. It handles WhatsApp ordering, a link-in-bio page, reviews, loyalty cards and bookings, and the business owner pays.

Nice Catalogs is a solo, bootstrapped side project. Stripe shows $55 MRR from 7 subscriptions and $370 in all-time revenue, with revenue flat since mid-2026. The founder has about 112 X followers, the domain rating is 14 and we found no notable reviews or community. Everything it sells is basic web software (themed catalog pages, a WhatsApp order link, password pages, loyalty cards) that a builder can copy in days, and WhatsApp Business already includes a free catalog for its users.

02/Moats

No moats found. Nothing here would take a good clone longer than a week.

03/The gap

Easy to copy

  • Themed catalog pages with a custom domain and password protection for wholesale prices are basic CRUD work on Supabase.
  • WhatsApp ordering is just a wa.me deep link with a prefilled message, so it needs no Meta API approval.
  • Add-ons like loyalty cards, appointment booking, a link-in-bio page and a Google review link or QR generator are commodity features that many tools already give away free.
  • AI photo and copy enhancement is a thin call to an off-the-shelf model.

How you'd go after it

  • Offer a free tier, or bundle catalogs into an existing POS or menu tool, to undercut a $5 to $10 plan that already competes with WhatsApp Business's free catalog.
  • Pick a sharper niche, such as restaurant QR menus, boutique wholesale or Latin American WhatsApp sellers, and own Spanish-language SEO. The site's DR of 14 is easy to beat.
  • Import products straight from Shopify, Instagram or CSV so switching takes minutes. Customers have very little data to move.
  • Sell through local agencies or payment providers in the Dominican Republic and the wider region, which this one-person team doesn't do.

04/Build against it?

Stay away

The market is full of free and cheap catalog makers, and Meta gives the core feature away inside WhatsApp. Only go in with an existing distribution channel into small merchants, like a POS, payments or agency network.
