01/The verdict

A LinkedIn engagement-signal lead finder. It watches chosen profiles, scores the people who like or comment on their posts against your ICP, adds emails and phone numbers, and drafts outreach. B2B sales teams pay from $149 a month.

traxy's growth is real: about $51k in verified MRR from 237 subscriptions, roughly 9 months after first revenue. But almost none of it is protected. The product scrapes public LinkedIn engagement, scores it with an LLM and adds emails and phones from bought data, all without a LinkedIn login. Trigify, Teamfluence, LinkedNav, Embers and a dozen others already sell this, so its main protections are a sharp outbound machine and small switching costs. The data it depends on rests on scraping that LinkedIn's terms forbid, so it has no defensible access to it.

02/3 moats

~3 mo to cross

By the founder's own account, most customers come from outreach to leads that traxy itself finds, plus trials from his X posts. He also runs Windmill Growth, a LinkedIn ghostwriting agency, which gives him a feed of LinkedIn-native buyers. His SEO is mostly self-published 'Trigify alternatives' and 'Common Room alternatives' posts, with Ahrefs domain rating 26.

To cross it: Use your own engagement-signal tool to prospect for itself, and publish the same set of comparison pages. Both are standard plays in this category.

~1 mo to cross

Customers set up watchlists and ICP rules, build up lead history, and route leads to their CRM and sequences. All of that takes about an afternoon to rebuild somewhere else.

To cross it: Offer a watchlist and CSV import, plus native HubSpot and Attio sync, so switching takes 10 minutes.

Time won't do it

Ben Buaron (@benbuaron_) has about 1,200 X followers and posts MRR milestones ($10k in July, $30k in September, '$500k ARR' in October). He has about 7 angels. Trials come from this, but the audience is small.

To cross it: Build in public with a larger or more targeted audience of sales and RevOps people.

03/The gap

Easy to copy

  • Collecting likes, comments and reposts from watched LinkedIn profiles, using off-the-shelf scrapers like Apify, Unipile or residential proxies
  • Scoring each person 1 to 100% against an ICP with an LLM prompt
  • Email and phone enrichment, resold from vendors anyone can buy from
  • An AI 'Outbound Agent' that researches leads and writes first messages

How you'd go after it

  • Undercut on price. Embers, Linked Panda and Signado already sell under $50 a month to solo founders, against traxy's $149 floor
  • Go multi-channel: add Reddit, X, Slack communities and G2 signals, since traxy is LinkedIn-only
  • Win risk-averse buyers with a compliant data source, such as consented first-party or partner data, as LinkedIn keeps cracking down on scrapers like Proxycurl
  • Pick a vertical (agencies, recruiting, fintech sales) with prebuilt watchlists and ICPs, and sell through ghostwriting and LinkedIn creator agencies

04/Build against it?

Only with an edge

Demand is proven ($51k MRR in about 9 months), but the category is packed and every player depends on LinkedIn tolerating scraping. Only go in with a cheaper offer, signals from more than LinkedIn, a compliant data source, or a ready audience of sales teams.
