“An AI SDR on LinkedIn copies in a month, and anyone can rent LinkedIn accounts. Sbl's only edge is a profile network and some SEO.”

01/The verdict

Sbl.so (Second Brain Labs) is an AI SDR that finds intent-based prospects and runs LinkedIn and WhatsApp outreach, replies and meeting booking. It often sends from rented human 'fractional SDR' profiles. B2B founders, sales teams and outbound agencies pay $99 to $997 a month.

Sbl has real traction: $28.8k verified MRR, 60 active subscriptions, an AppSumo launch with 68 reviews at 4.44, and about 192k Google impressions a month. But what it sells is a crowded commodity. LinkedIn has no official outreach API to gatekeep, so there are no platform approvals to wait for. Renting real LinkedIn accounts is already a category of its own (LinkedRent, BriskReach, allprofiles.io), and HeyReach, Expandi, Valley and Artisan sell the same AI outreach. Lock-in is low, and the founder has about 150 X followers, so a challenger is held back for a few months at most.

02/3 moats

~3 mo to cross

Sbl runs a network of real people who rent out their LinkedIn profiles (owners get paid from about $35 to $39 a month), plus pre-warmed sender rotation. It claims 0 bans across 50M+ messages and says it built its own headless browser automation for LinkedIn and WhatsApp.

To cross it: Plug into an account-rental supplier like LinkedRent or recruit profile owners through freelancer markets, and run the automation on Unipile-style APIs.

Domain rating is 37, with about 192k Google impressions a month from a large library of comparison and alternatives posts (vs Artisan, vs PhantomBuster, Gojiberry alternatives). The AppSumo lifetime deal added 68 verified reviews and a run of affiliate review posts.

To cross it: Publish the same comparison and alternatives SEO content and run your own AppSumo or affiliate launch, which takes roughly 6 months to rank.

Two-way CRM sync with HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive and Zoho, plus a public REST API and a Claude MCP server.

To cross it: Build four standard CRM connectors and an MCP server in a few weeks.

03/The gap

Easy to copy

  • AI reply handling, follow-ups and meeting booking are LLM prompts on top of standard LinkedIn automation
  • Intent signals (post engagement, job changes, community members) come from scraping that rivals already offer
  • LinkedIn and WhatsApp sequencing, a unified inbox and a built-in CRM are table stakes for HeyReach, Expandi and Waalaxy
  • Rented sender profiles can be bought from many vendors, and Salesforge already bundles LinkedRent

How you'd go after it

  • Pick one vertical (recruiting, agencies, or the Indian SMB market on WhatsApp) and beat Sbl on targeting and case studies
  • Bundle email and LinkedIn in one cheaper seat, as Salesforge and HeyReach do, so buyers drop a separate tool
  • Sell 'your own face, your own brand' outreach to buyers who don't want strangers' rented profiles representing them
  • Undercut the $99 to $189 tiers with usage pricing, and win over AppSumo lifetime-deal users with a better LinkedIn-only plan

04/Build against it?

Only with an edge

Only go in with a distribution edge: an agency audience, a vertical niche, or an existing account-rental supply. The space is packed, and LinkedIn crackdowns are a platform risk for everyone in it.
