01/The verdict

AI video security for German sites like construction, industrial, logistics and solar parks: cameras, rule-based talk-down/light/siren, escalation and daily PDF reports. Businesses pay for it, priced per site in a pilot.

VICAMOS appears to be pre-launch. It sells pilot projects, the site's own fine print says its certifications are not finished, and searches turn up no press, reviews or customers. The product is a browser cockpit, mobile apps, rule engine, SIA DC-09 handoff and off-the-shelf camera hardware, and a funded rival can rebuild all of it in months. Its one real asset is the sister guard company Voltage Security in Rhein-Main, which gives it a small local sales channel and installation crew, not a barrier.

02/2 moats

~4 mo to cross

VICAMOS is run by the team behind Voltage Security, an owner-led guard service with 10+ years in Rhein-Main. That likely gives it warm leads from existing site-security and construction clients.

To cross it: Partner with any regional guard firm or alarm installer, or sell straight to builders, where BauWatch and VideoGuard already have national sales teams.

~3 mo to cross

The offer bundles its own camera with speaker and warning light, plus installation, remote maintenance and health monitoring. That takes field staff and hardware logistics, not just code.

To cross it: Resell talk-down cameras from Axis, Hikvision or Ajax and subcontract installation to local electricians or security installers.

03/The gap

Easy to copy

  • Browser cockpit, live view and event log with confirm or false-alarm buttons
  • Six-step escalation rules with a dry-run test, push alerts and a 06:00 PDF daily report
  • SIA DC-09, webhook and email output to existing monitoring centres
  • GDPR privacy masking, retention periods and audit logs, all enforced by software

How you'd go after it

  • Bring your own hardware: run the same rules and talk-down on cameras customers already own (the Spot AI model) and skip installation costs
  • Get the certifications VICAMOS lacks first (VdS, DIN EN 62676, a DIN EN 50518 monitoring-centre partner), since insurers and large builders ask for them
  • Go after one vertical like solar parks or equipment yards with fixed weekly rental pricing against custom pilot quotes
  • Sell white-label to the hundreds of regional guard firms that compete with Voltage Security and want their own AI video product

04/Build against it?

Only with an edge

Only go in with a real edge: an existing guard firm or installer network for distribution, or certifications and insurer approvals that leaders like BauWatch (€91M revenue) and VideoGuard can't wave away. On software alone you lose.
