01/The verdict

A desktop app for Mac, Windows and Linux that uses your webcam to spot slouching and send an alert. Remote workers pay $4.99 a week, or a yearly or lifetime plan, through Whop.

Pose detection on the device is a standard building block, using MediaPipe or Apple's Vision framework. Free, open-source apps like Posturr and Open Posture already do this. SuperSit's features (a 0 to 100 score, background alerts, a shrimp that levels up, Mac/Windows/Linux support) closely match SuperShrimp, which was #3 Product of the Day on Product Hunt in April 2026. That makes SuperSit a late clone in a market where free options get the press, and a weekly subscription has no lock-in.

02/Moats

No moats found. Nothing here would take a good clone longer than a weekend.

03/The gap

Easy to copy

  • Posture detection uses free pose models (MediaPipe, Apple Vision) that Posturr and Open Posture already ship as open source.
  • The score, alerts, charts, XP levels and leaderboard are a few days of UI work.
  • Support for all three operating systems comes cheap with Electron or Tauri.
  • Its privacy pitch (processing stays on the device, nothing is stored) is the default for every competitor.

How you'd go after it

  • Give it away free like SitApp, which has free coverage in PCWorld, Digital Trends and MakeUseOf, or charge a one-time fee instead of $4.99 a week.
  • Sell to employers as an ergonomics or wellness benefit with team dashboards, a buyer that solo apps can't reach.
  • Get onto the Mac App Store and Microsoft Store, where people search for posture apps.
  • Write SEO comparison pages like sitapp.app and posturereminderapp.com already do, and win searches like 'best posture app'.

04/Build against it?

Stay away

There are many clones, and free or open-source versions that already get press coverage, so a paid consumer version has no room. Only consider it with a B2B ergonomics channel or a hardware tie-in.
