learn.sol
Does learn.sol have a moat?
No.
14/100 · Moatless
“A Solana course site is a weekend of copying. Free official courses and Turbin3 already cover it, and learn.sol has about 1,000 users.”

01/The verdict
Free, open-source Solana developer education site with Rust and Anchor modules, 30 coding challenges and visual tools. It is meant to earn from sponsors and partners.
The curriculum is open source (GitHub repo with 3 forks and a fork already out there), so anyone can copy the content and the site. The founder says it reached about 1,000 users in 50 days, mostly from his own posting on X. That is a small audience, not a moat. Free resources from the Solana Foundation, Turbin3, Buildspace-style courses and Solana Playground already cover the same ground.
02/1 moat
Shallow
The founder, Raghav Sharma, built an audience on X before launch and credits it for the first ~1,000 users. The follower count is not confirmed and looks small.
To cross it: A challenger would need their own Solana-focused following, or a Solana Foundation or Superteam partnership that sends learners.
03/The gap
Easy to copy
- The curriculum is open source on GitHub and can be forked and rehosted in days
- The 30 Rust challenges run on the public Rust Playground API, so a clone gets the same setup
- The Runtime Lab and Visual Builder tools are front-end work an AI coding tool can rebuild in 2 weeks
- The agent skill installs from the public repo, so anyone can copy it
How you'd go after it
- Offer the same content with better video or live cohorts, like Turbin3's 7-week Builders Cohort
- Partner with Superteam, Solana Foundation or hackathons to send learners directly
- Go deeper on one niche, such as DeFi, Pinocchio or security auditing, with paid certificates
- Out-fund them with sponsored bounties and grants for finishing the courses
04/Build against it?
Only with an edge
Only with a distribution edge, such as a large Solana audience or a Foundation tie-in. The content is free and easy to copy, and the revenue model of selling sponsor placements to Solana infrastructure firms is unproven.
