01/The verdict

LeadShark (leadshark.io; leadshark.com is a parked domain for sale) is a 'ManyChat for LinkedIn' tool that DMs your lead magnet to people who comment a keyword on your post. LinkedIn creators, coaches and B2B founders pay $39 to $249 a month.

The product watches a post, matches a keyword and sends a DM. It connects through the user's LinkedIn session cookie, not an approved API, so a clone faces no approval wall, and Unipile plus n8n lets technical customers build it themselves. What LeadShark has is a head start: launched in 2024, about 500 paying customers in year one, 5K+ creators, 2.7M+ DMs sent, a founder with a mid-size LinkedIn audience and a small partner network. A focused challenger can match all of that in months.

02/2 moats

~4 mo to cross

Founder Ruzgar Zere grew to roughly 14K to 25K followers on LinkedIn and Substack by building in public. LeadShark also has a partner program of LinkedIn agencies and coaches, one of whom says he built it into onboarding for 20+ clients. It runs a large SEO blog targeting 'ManyChat for LinkedIn' and 'comment to DM' searches.

To cross it: Get a few LinkedIn ghostwriting agencies to bundle your tool with a revenue share, and publish comparison and how-to content for the same keywords.

~3 mo to cross

It claims pacing limits learned from 10M+ LinkedIn actions, plus account warm-up and quiet hours. That safety record matters to buyers afraid of LinkedIn restrictions.

To cross it: Run conservative daily caps on an official-style connector like Unipile, and market the safety record clearly from day one.

03/The gap

Easy to copy

  • The core comment, keyword, DM and reply loop is a few hundred lines on top of Unipile or a session-cookie scraper.
  • Email-gated pages, link tracking, webhooks and post scheduling are standard features.
  • No lock-in: each automation is tied to one post, so customers lose nothing when they switch at their next post.
  • Pricing has no floor. LinkMagnet charges 29 EUR and PostHero starts around $19.

How you'd go after it

  • Undercut on price or bundle it free inside a LinkedIn ghostwriting or scheduling tool (Taplio-style) that creators already pay for.
  • Win non-English markets (French, German, Spanish creators) with local-language UI and EUR billing, the way LinkMagnet is doing.
  • Sell to agencies managing many client profiles with per-seat pricing, since LeadShark tops out at 3 profiles on APEX+.
  • Pitch account safety through an official-style connector, since LeadShark relies on li_at session cookies that LinkedIn's terms prohibit.

04/Build against it?

Stay away

There are already 7+ near-identical tools racing on price, and the whole category runs on LinkedIn session automation that LinkedIn can shut down at any time. Only go in with existing distribution, like a big LinkedIn creator audience or an agency channel.
