01/The verdict

A free, drag-and-drop bento link-in-bio page for gamers and creators that shows socials, music and live Discord activity. Pro costs $4.99 a month for cosmetics like animated names, video backgrounds and a damn.bio or lol.bio link.

ign.bio is a well-designed entry in a crowded, low-cost category, and nothing in it is hard to copy. The live Discord activity runs on open presence data, not a gated API, and the analytics, OG share cards and bento editor are standard web work. It is very early: the top profile on its own all-time leaderboard has about 208 views. Its founder's design reputation (Spell UI, about 1.3k GitHub stars) wins over developers, not the gamers who buy flashy profile cosmetics.

02/1 moat

~3 mo to cross

Founder tom (@tomm_ui / @sushidrip), a 16-year-old design engineer, built Spell UI, a React component library with about 1.3k GitHub stars. That gives the product taste and a small dev audience, but not a gamer following.

To cross it: Ship an equally polished design and seed it with a few TikTok or Discord creators in the gaming biolink niche.

03/The gap

Easy to copy

  • The bento drag-and-drop editor and card layouts are standard React work
  • Live Discord and Spotify activity uses public presence data (Lanyard-style), with no approval process
  • Profile views, referrers and country analytics are basic event logging
  • Pro cosmetics (animated names, video backgrounds, custom fonts, badges) are CSS and file uploads

How you'd go after it

  • Undercut on price or make all cosmetics free, since guns.lol, e-z.bio and others already train users to expect a lot for little
  • Grow through a big Discord server with giveaways and premium-for-referrals, the way guns.lol and feds.lol did
  • Go after one game's community, such as Valorant or Fortnite, with deep stat cards and rank badges
  • Sell to the dev and design crowd ign.bio's founder already attracts, with GitHub and portfolio-first layouts

04/Build against it?

Stay away

There are dozens of Discord-style biolink sites, guns.lol is far ahead on users and community, open-source clones exist, and Pro sells cosmetics for $4.99 to teenagers. Only worth it if you already run a large gaming Discord or TikTok audience.
