01/The verdict

A smart-link tool for mobile app makers. One link sends iOS, Android and desktop visitors to the App Store, Google Play or a web page. It adds click analytics and QR codes, and imported Stripe and RevenueCat revenue is coming soon. Indie app developers pay a monthly fee.

Device-based store redirects, click analytics and QR codes are a commodity, and many cheap or free tools already do them. I found no founder audience, big customer base, funding, certifications or hard-to-get platform approvals. The planned Stripe and RevenueCat revenue view could help, but it uses public APIs and the page marks it as coming soon.

02/1 moat

~1 mo to cross

The revenue comparison relies on Stripe and RevenueCat imports. Both have public APIs, and RevenueCat already integrates with Branch and Adjust. The page marks the feature as coming soon.

To cross it: Build the same API imports in a few weeks, since both use standard API keys with no partner approval.

03/The gap

Easy to copy

  • Device detection and redirect to the App Store, Google Play or a web fallback
  • Click analytics by country, OS, referrer and UTM, plus QR codes
  • Custom domain setup and a free tier with 10,000 clicks a month
  • Stripe and RevenueCat revenue import through public APIs

How you'd go after it

  • Offer a free or cheaper tier. Smart App Link, U2L, smartapplinks and onestore.link already undercut paid plans.
  • Target indie app developers with a RevenueCat-native revenue-per-link dashboard before AppRoute ships its own.
  • Bundle smart links into a larger tool, such as attribution, a link-in-bio page or an ASO tool, so customers don't need a separate product.
  • Win SEO for terms like Firebase Dynamic Links alternative, which rivals already target.

04/Build against it?

Stay away

The market is crowded with free and cheap tools, switching costs are tiny, and there is nothing to defend. Enter only with a distribution edge, such as an existing audience of app developers.
