01/The verdict

A pre-launch AI agent that tracks App Store rankings, reviews, metadata and competitor ads, then drafts growth experiments. Aimed at indie app developers and app growth teams; pricing not announced.

Feectory is still a waitlist page, and the site says its examples are illustrations, not live data. All of its inputs are public: App Store listings, reviews, rankings and ad libraries. So a clone needs no API approvals, no data deals and no certifications. Its only real asset is founder César Álvarez, who builds in public on X and claims 80k+ followers on Instagram and TikTok. That audience is mostly the Spanish-language coding account Acadeller, not paying app founders, so it adds only a little protection.

02/2 moats

Time won't do it

César Álvarez (@cesaralvarezll) builds Feectory in public on X, posting app growth breakdowns (Opal, TikTok slideshows, 200 onboarding flows). His bio claims 80k+ Instagram and TikTok followers, mostly from Acadeller, a Spanish coding-tutorial account with about 50k Instagram followers.

To cross it: Post app growth teardowns on X and TikTok for 6 to 12 months, or partner with an existing indie-app creator who already reaches mobile founders.

~3 mo to cross

He knows how to make short-form content go viral (he says one video reached 4M views across Instagram and TikTok). That could feed a waitlist. No signups, users or revenue have been disclosed.

To cross it: Run TikTok slideshows and X threads aimed at indie app founders, or launch on Product Hunt and in r/iOSProgramming.

03/The gap

Easy to copy

  • Scraping App Store metadata, rankings and reviews, which iTunes endpoints and Appfigures-style APIs make easy
  • Reading competitor ads from the public Meta Ad Library and TikTok Creative Center
  • Turning those signals into an LLM weekly briefing, hypotheses and creative briefs
  • Setup from a single App Store URL, with no account connections needed

How you'd go after it

  • Release free Claude Code or Cursor skills, like the open-source aso-skills repo, and upsell a hosted weekly briefing
  • Plug into App Store Connect and RevenueCat on day one so experiments use real conversion data, which Feectory lists only as a future plan
  • Go after one category (games, or health and fitness apps like Cal AI clones) with benchmark data for that category
  • Price under AppTweak and MobileAction for indie developers, e.g. $19 a month, and cover Google Play, which Feectory leaves out at launch

04/Build against it?

Only with an edge

The tech is easy and the incumbents already have AI agents, so you only win with your own reach to indie app founders, or by using private data (App Store Connect, RevenueCat) that public-data tools can't match.
