01/The verdict

Comment-to-DM autoresponder for Instagram and Facebook. It is sold to creators, coaches and small shops on a free tier, then $9 to $29 a month, plus a $19 AI script add-on.

DMFast looks pre-launch. The site says "free to start when we open", offers founding perks to the first 100 sign-ups, and has a CodeHype launch still scheduled. It has no users, audience or funding to protect it. Its only barrier is Meta app review for advanced access to Instagram messaging and comments, and dozens of rivals have cleared that, some with free tiers of 500 to 1,500 DMs a month.

02/2 moats

~2 mo to cross

It runs on Meta's official Instagram and Messenger APIs. Serving accounts it doesn't own requires advanced access to the messaging and comment permissions, plus business verification and app review with screencasts.

To cross it: Verify a business with Meta and submit a working app with screencasts of each permission. That usually takes a few weeks to two months, and it is a well-documented path.

~3 mo to cross

The site already has many SEO pages: free tools, slang and emoji glossaries, alternatives and compare pages, and 16 languages. The rankings these will bring are unproven, and the space is full of rivals with the same content plan, like ReplyRush, CreatorFlow, InstantDM and SetSmart.

To cross it: Generate the same programmatic SEO and comparison pages with AI in a few weeks.

03/The gap

Easy to copy

  • The core keyword-to-DM flow with a public comment reply, follower gating, email capture and reminders
  • AI DM replies and product cards inside the DM
  • Low pricing ($9 Pro), which ChatAutoDM at about $6 already undercuts
  • Multilingual landing pages and SEO glossary content

How you'd go after it

  • Go unlimited and cheaper on the free tier. ReplyRush already gives 1,500 DMs a month free.
  • Focus on one vertical, like Shopify stores or restaurants, with native catalog or booking integrations.
  • Bundle comment-to-DM into an existing scheduler or link-in-bio tool that users already pay for.
  • Distribute through creator influencers or an affiliate program, since DMFast has no audience yet.

04/Build against it?

Stay away

This is a commodity feature. ManyChat leads, and more than 15 cheaper clones with free tiers already fight over the same creators. Only go in with an existing creator audience or a vertical integration rivals don't have.
