Does Liinks have a moat?

No.

“Liinks itself was built in two weeks. A copy needs the same Google Ads budget and has to beat Linktree, Beacons and Stan for the same creators.”

01/The verdict

Liinks is a link-in-bio page builder with multi-page mini sites, Instagram post links and click analytics. Creators and small businesses pay $5 to $12 a month.

Liinks is a solid bootstrapped business: about $31k MRR, 5,451 active subscriptions and flat revenue for a year. Very little protects it, though. The founder says he built the first version in a two-week sprint, growth comes from paid Google Search ads at about $30 per conversion, and moving a link-in-bio page to another tool takes an hour. What keeps customers is mostly inertia at $5 a month, plus some SEO and the 'Made with Liinks' badge, in a market full of free and better-funded rivals.

02/3 moats

~6 mo to cross

liinks.co has a domain rating of 73, built partly from 'Made with Liinks' badges on thousands of user pages. It also has a blog and comparison pages (for example Liinks vs Linktree) that rank for alternative-style searches. Even so, paid Google Ads remain its main acquisition channel.

To cross it: Put a viral badge on free pages and pay for the same 'Linktree alternative' keywords. A link-in-bio clone picks up backlinks naturally as users publish pages.

~1 mo to cross

Its 5,451 subscribers would lose their custom pages, folders, Instagram post links and click history if they left. Rebuilding a page elsewhere still takes under an hour, and so does changing the bio URL.

To cross it: Offer a one-click importer that rebuilds a Liinks or Linktree page from its URL, plus a free first month.

~4 mo to cross

Liinks has about 72 Trustpilot reviews averaging roughly 4.7 stars, and six years of uptime with low support load. That helps a little against brand-new clones, but nobody's money or health depends on which link-in-bio tool they pick.

To cross it: Collect a few dozen reviews from early users and lean on price or design to stand out.

03/The gap

Easy to copy

  • The core product (block-based bio pages, themes, multiple pages, folders, analytics) is standard and quick to rebuild with AI coding tools.
  • Pulling in Instagram posts is a feature every rival already has: Linktree, Later and Milkshake all do it.
  • A $5 entry price is easy to match or beat. Lnk.Bio charges $0.99 a month and many tools have generous free plans.
  • Google Ads keywords like 'link in bio' and 'Linktree alternative' are open to anyone with a budget.

How you'd go after it

  • Pick a vertical Liinks serves generically, such as musicians, real estate agents or restaurants, and ship niche blocks and templates for it.
  • Go free-first with a viral badge and charge only for custom domains or commerce, which undercuts Liinks' paid-only model.
  • Build a Linktree/Liinks importer and run comparison-page SEO and ads targeting creators who want more design control.
  • Bundle the bio page into a bigger creator tool (scheduling, email capture, digital products) so it becomes a free add-on, as Pallyy and Later already do.

04/Build against it?

Only with an edge

The market is real and pays, but it is saturated, and Linktree and Beacons are venture-funded. Only enter with a cheap acquisition channel you already own (a creator audience or a niche community), or a vertical angle that the generic tools ignore.
